If you are planning to enjoy the fireworks from your boat or if you are planning a boat trip on the Fourth during the day, please remember that the US Coast Guard and the Marblehead Harbormaster have established a safety zone around the fireworks barge at the mouth of the harbor. All boaters are advised to use caution when transiting the area.
The safety zone will be patrolled by a civilian boat patrol during the day and by the Marblehead Harbormaster after 1800 (6:00 PM).
Please stay out of the safety zone and follow all directions by the civilian boat patrol, Harbormaster, and US Coast Guard vessels and personnel. Thank you!
